PAGSULHUGON NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL LANGUAGE DEPARTMENT LAC SESSION ON RE-ECHO ON REGIONAL MEMORANDUM 726 S. 2025 “Virtual Orientation on the Administration of Reading Inventory”.

 


The LAC Session was presided and facilitated by head of the Language Department Mr. Joshua B. Udtujan with the participation of four (4) language teachers (Dahna T. Acebedo, Thea V. Cuyos, Jenny A. Gacutara, and Reven Jay T. Ediza) last July 15, 2025 that started at exactly 2:00PM at the Faculty Room, Pagsulhugon National High School.

The activity started with a message of gratitude from Mrs. Dahna T. Acebedo. This was followed with the re-echo of the Regional Orientation Reading Inventory led by Mr. Joshua B. Udtujan, Language Department Head and Learning Area Chairman- English & Filipino. During the Focus Group Discussion, Mrs. Jenny Gacutara, Mr. Reven Jay T. Ediza, and Ms. Mary Thea V. Cuyos took turns in presenting the data they had collected and had an open forum on identified learners and reading interventions to be used. Teachers had also discussed on the issues and problems they have encountered in the administration of the Reading Inventory and these are as follows: Lack of Time; Reliability Paper and Pen Test; Identification of Reading Interventions. Alternative solutions were also suggested by the participants, and these includes extension of time allotment in the administration, conduct the GST partnered with Oral Reading Test; and conduct of Reading Intervention Training.

The activity ended with consolidated data and agreements: (1) The Department will wait for the report of Mrs. Cabornay on Reading Inventory for Filipino 9 will be until 9:20AM of July 16, 2025. If she fails to do so, report will be submitted as scheduled.; (2) The Department will submit the National Online Report on Reading Inventory on July 16, 2025 12:00NN.; (3) Individual submission of Finalized Phil-IRI Form 1 will be on Friday, July 18, 2025.; (4) Accomplishment Report on this LAC Session will be submitted on July 21, 2025.The activity ended at 5:00 PM with Mr. Udtujan reading the minutes of the activity and ways forward.
